Greetings! I am Cori Burns, the CEO of Estacar Companies. Over the past 11+ years, I have founded and revolutionized this company multiple times, with the aim of driving sustainable growth in mid-size companies while minimizing challenges. I strongly believe that growth encompasses more than just finances and hiring; it stems from the leader and the motivations of the organization. Strong leadership is indispensable for success, even if it doesn't always originate from the top. Recognizing the significance of nurturing organizational leaders has fueled my passion for utilizing coaching models, both in business and in my personal life.
Above all, being a wife and a mother are two titles that I treasure. While navigating my professional journey, I have experienced moments of loneliness and overwhelm while trying to strike a balance between work and life. At times, frustration has set in as I couldn't fully immerse myself in my work or connect deeply with my family, leading to occasional feelings of isolation and guilt. It was through my passion for coaching and understanding the importance of strong leadership that I realized I could create a better equilibrium between work and life.
Intrapreneurship is no easy feat, both mentally and emotionally. However, I have discovered that when I coach others and harness my creativity to fuel their momentum, I experience my own surge of energy. My goal is to inspire everyone to understand that being a CEO and leader doesn't always require excelling in one aspect of life; rather, it demands intentional efforts to harmonize the important, and often competing, areas of our lives.
Instead of viewing a career solely as a means to an end, let's consider the possibility of it being more. What if our professional pursuits seamlessly aligned with our passions? Do you find fulfillment in your work? How does your daily contribution impact your family, community, and society at large? While recognizing that everyone's values may differ, understanding our own values can guide us towards alignment and create momentum towards our desired reality.
One of my primary goals is to guide my clients beyond the misconception that successful leadership requires sacrificing more than what we gain. If our efforts do not yield sufficient returns, why persist? True leadership and entrepreneurship lie in inspiring others to achieve beyond the limits that any individual could accomplish alone, both intrinsically and extrinsically. Leadership, at its core, is subjective and tailor-made for each unique individual.
For all my clients, the initial steps involve conducting an assessment. This helps both clients and myself as the coach to gain insight into their strengths, communication styles, and where their core values and priorities align. The evaluation serves as a starting point, providing clients with additional self-awareness and confirming what they already know. Coaching plays a critical role in filling in the gaps and clarifying the path from where they currently are to where they want to be. Through my experience, I have found that the partnership between myself and the client empowers them to explore their options, focus on their goals, and create a personalized action plan.
It is crucial to note that I do not offer my clients a rigid set of steps or a checklist to follow. Instead, my aim is to assist them in uncovering their own motives and goals, ultimately helping them find their unique path. Creating an individualized path is key to accelerating their success.
Our coaching clients are as diverse as the industries that Estacar serves. They include college students, CEOs, entrepreneurs, mothers, athletes, athletic coaches, professional athletes, fathers, executives, and individuals in life or career transition. The thought of helping my clients realize their potential brings great excitement. I have a strong desire to help and serve others as they grow in life, whether it be balancing work and home or excelling in a field of interest.
My ultimate goal is to develop leaders and expand teams and networks, ultimately cultivating more leaders. I firmly believe that coaching is one of the most effective tools available to take leadership development to a profound and sustainable level, whether focusing on the individual, groups, teams, or the entire organization.
